More than 30 companies participate in Match&Build to generate new opportunities for collaboration and cross-sector innovation

Rosa Porta,

The activity, promoted by Clúster Digital with the collaboration of four sectoral clusters, brought together companies from different economic sectors and digital companies to identify challenges, share knowledge and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

On June 9th, Ca l'Alier hosted the first edition of Match&Build: Activating collaboration and intersectoral innovation, a conference promoted by the Clúster Digital with the collaboration of INNOVACC (Catalan Cluster of Meat and Alternative Protein), Foodservice Cluster (Leading Cluster of food and foodservice in Catalonia),  AMBIT Cluster (Home and Contract Equipment Cluster) and CSIM (Real Estate Services Cluster), which brought together more than 30 companies with a common goal: to connect real business needs with digital solutions capable of responding to them.

The meeting was attended by seven companies with technological challenges, from the food, foodservice, home equipment and real estate services sectors, who had the opportunity to contrast their needs with 25 digital companies providing technological solutions.

Salgot, Costa Food Group, Hausmann Aromatic, Trias Biscuits, Barinsa, Everest Facility Services and PACI Global shared challenges related to the digitization of processes, intelligent data management, optimization of operations, sustainability and the application of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence. Based on these challenges, the participating companies were able to identify possible fits, generate new connections and explore opportunities for collaboration and joint innovation.

The day began with a round of presentations by the invited companies, followed by a dynamic of collaborative work in sectoral tables. This space made it possible to identify shared challenges, generate new ideas and put companies with similar needs in contact with specialized technology providers.

Subsequently, the companies participated in a business speed dating space, structured in five rounds of one-on-one meetings, which resulted in a total of 35 one-to-one meetings between companies with challenges and digital companies. These meetings allowed us to delve into possible fits, explore specific use cases and open the door to future collaborations and innovation projects.

Intersectoral collaboration as a driver of innovation

The conference highlighted the value of collaboration between clusters to connect sectors that often do not coincide, but share similar challenges. These types of initiatives facilitate valuable conversations, create new synergies and open the door to future business and innovation opportunities.

For Clúster Digital, this first edition of Match&Build represents a further step in its commitment to bringing technology closer to the real needs of companies. The connections generated during the day will continue to be worked on in the coming months with the aim of translating into new digital transformation and innovation projects.
